3 Reasons to Read Jesus Through the Eyes of Women  (by Rebecca McLaughlin)

*1. To really grasp how Jesus values women.*

He wasn't just served by women, he ministered alongside them, and taught them as valued disciples! No matter how misogynistic some Christians may have been over the centuries, Rebecca McLaughlin helps us to see that  this criticism can never be levelled at Jesus. Jesus saw, loved, respected, and affirmed women.

*2. To get to know more about some of the female heroes of gospels.*

They are often overlooked, but their eye-witness testimony was essential to the writing of the accounts of Jesus' life.

“The  Central question of this book is, 'What did Jesus look like through their eyes?'” (p21)

*3. Most important of all - to see the real Jesus.*

“To look at Jesus through the eyes of women may seem at first like an innately modern project. But when it comes to Jesus' death and resurrection, it's precisely what the Gospel authors invite us to do. What we see through their eyes is not an alternative Jesus, but rather the authentic Jesus, who welcomes both men and women as his disciples” (p173)
